I believe in the psychology behind visual communication, and my philosophy remains that great design starts and ends with the human mind.
With a wide-ranging professional background centered around creative and people-facing roles, I have a natural knack for helping people solve their problems. This strong desire to connect with others, along with my lifelong passion as a visual artist, sparked the interests in the world of human-centered design where I finally found my niche.
Growing up in Seattle Washington, I was raised to embrace all aspects of life from education and sports, to nature and differing cultures. I graduated university with a BA in Communication and a Psychology minor, enhancing my curiosity to solve everyday problems and effectively share ideas.
After university, I took a big leap and moved to Australia without a plan, where I started a professional life as a hostel manager and travel agent. I was granted a second year visa from the government as endorsed by the company I was working for, where I continued to work as a team leader alongside people from all corners of the world. My travels took me off the beaten path in all corners of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and South East Asia- where I developed a passion to absorb myself in new cultures and connect with all humans. My experience abroad taught me to adapt and empathize with people from all walks of life, an invaluable life skill to bring to the UX design table.
I spend my free time creating art, skateboarding, surfing and daydreaming of the snowy mountains back home. Please feel free to reach out and connect!
